Hello friends and family! Hope everyone had a good Valentine's Day! :)
Simon and I had a fun Valentine's Day which included the open house for a possible apt to buy we attended followed by dinner out and then to the Scottish Pub to watch Liverpool defeat Arsenal in the Premiership 1-0! Simon presented me with a beautiful rose when I got home from my trip to Ringebu yesterday afternnon. Simon got a cool plant and a card from me! Valentine's Day is fun when you're married: no need to stress with looking for dates ;)
As you may know, Simon and I are fiercely apartment-shopping in Bergen. With my PhD stipend we know we'll be in Bergen for at least the next 3 years (most likely more) and we're ready for a bigger place and an investment. This morning we found out we got out-bid for a very nice place we visited last night. The market is very strong and the apts. got to the highest bidder. So far we've been outbid 3 times, but we're still hanging in there looking for new places all the time...We've also changed our bidding strategies and Simon and I had a meeting last night to discuss how we are going to approach the next bidding round when we find another apt. to bid on. If anyone out there wants to share some tips with me please write a post and I can share it with Simon!
We are looking for a 2-bedroom place within walking distance of downtown Bergen so we can host many friends and family members.
I will write a new post soon with pix and stories from my great trip to Ringebu and stay with Ane's family...
